Late last week I had an encounter with Jesus Christ in my dream, and in that dream He gave me scriptures which I’ll be expanding on in my next few posts.
The experience was honestly indescribable and truly I remain humbled for having the privilege of such an encounter. I remember waking up and thinking WOW why me Father God. Then I realized the message was deeper than just me and the scriptures all pointed back to salvation : Where do you go when you die? Are you sure of your final resting place? We’re meant to have peace and rest for our souls long before our final days come along.
“asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God.”
Every blessing yet to be made manifest to you, always leads back to the cross (Leviticus 17:11).
We each must accept that no individual can boldly step into God’s presence solo because His Glory is too much (Exodus 33:22) and our bodies are full of sin; you can then understand God to be just. He made a level playing field for all of humanity (Ephesians 2:9).
Now through what Christ accomplished on the cross,we cling to his triumph and hide behind Jesus whom has no sin (2 Corinthians 5:21) and can boldly stand in front of God. Christ is our mediator which is why we PLEAD the blood of Jesus and pray in His name because He can take our prayers and requests directly to God whereas we cannot. Regardless of your good deeds (Titus 3:5) and sometimes earnest mindset to do good we all still fall short of the Glory of God and we must continually plead the blood of Jesus.
We all crave to know what happens after death because we are programmed to have a longing to live forever.
Generally speaking if you see danger you’ll want to run away from it. This concept of self preservation is rooted in our DNA in the ultimate quest to find the answer to eternal life. The answer is not just by knowing the Bible outrageously well because even the devil has the ability to do that, ultimately it’s by knowing whom the Bible with every chapter was trying to lead us to :
“”You search the Scriptures because you think they give you eternal life. But the Scriptures point to me!”
We get offended when people mistake us for older than we are and highly flattered when they don’t.
Haven’t you ever asked why? We’re searching for a way to preserve what we understand is all we have : life on earth. That’s the wrong mindset!!! Yes, Sin condemned our bodies to die but before that final day we must make sure we assure our spirit does not die with it but passes into its new untainted form in paradise (2 Corinthians 5:1). The final days on earth only seem precious when you don’t know what to expect next.
So salvation : what should we do before we pass a way? PLEAD THE BLOOD OF JESUS. The purpose of the blood lies in the name of Christ.
During my encounter, Christ gave me the story of Nicodemus which can be found in John 3:1-12. Nicodemus was on his own personal quest to find answers to satisfy the burning desire of this eternal life mystery. After all the Bible itself does call it a mystery (Colossians 1:26).
Jesus first explains how you cannot enter Heaven unless you are “born again”. I can imagine the confusion that befell Nicodemus because he couldn’t help but ask how we could possibly be placed back into “their mothers wombs (verse 4)”. The mystery became more confusing. I imagine that had that been me I would be thinking of how to get back in to my mums womb. Sorry mum!
Jesus goes on to clarify what this means by saying we must be “born of water and the Spirit”. I always thought the water to mean water baptism until I had this visitation.
Quite simply it goes back to the Christ on the cross when they pierced His side and “immediately blood and water flowed out” (John 19:34). So we need to be born just like Christ was because unlike our mothers whom were also birthed by flesh, The Spirit birthed Jesus Christ and that’s the second and more significant birth we need.
Let’s call it the rebirth. Because although it’s not a physical birth we become a little more like the God we worship and gain The Spirit. Yes just the one Spirit as the same one that raised Jesus from death into eternal glory is the one that then resides in you (Romans 8:11) and testified on your behalf (Romans 8:16).
It’s something you now have in common with Christ and your brothers and sisters that remain in Him! A great bonding tool which is were things like speaking in tongues start coming in…it’s just a super secret language for you and Him, like you would have with a friend.
This was another of the Scriptures Christ gave me along with the story of Nicodemus
“You must not do any work at all! This is a permanent law for you, and it must be observed from generation to generation wherever you live.” -Leviticus 23:31
You cant work for the prize Jesus already won on your behalf. It’s like winning the lottery but instead of trusting in the fact that someone called Jesus cashed the cheque in your bank account, You keep calling the bank trying to cash a new cheque. They will not accept it. Do not do any work at all!!!!!!
It is this same no work ethic that took Abraham to heaven and I’ll prove this next time.
Its hard to accept such a mystery because human beings require something in return. Remember it’s a gift (Romans 5:15)and not something you pay for. Christ paid with his blood already (Galatians 3:13). It’s undeserved and it’s really the Good News Paul and all the other apostles kept talking about.
So if ever you are asked how to enter the kingdom of God, do not plead the 5th! Plead the unbeatable blood of Jesus Christ.
