Episode 19: Joey Bada$$

you must feel like you’ve seen a ghost! done with the last portion of my masters, so im back with the heat 🔥🔥🔥

I promise we won’t be separated again like this ever again.

Today we talk Joey and his technicolour dreamcoat. So basically he had 11 brothers but he was his daddy’s absolute fave and for that reason, Papa Joey aka Israel gave him this bada$$ coat (Genesis 37:3). It was THE “dreamcoat.” It would pretty much be the equivalent of the new Burberry puffer.

so Joey had this skittle swag coat and his brothers were all types of jealous. They couldn’t shake the jealousy. This is just like Gods grace in your life, people won’t understand why you are favoured but because you might not always “deserve” it but the truth is thats exactly what Grace is – undeserved.

sooo mash it up and own it!!

Now to make matters worse, he started having some strange dreams about all of his brothers bowing down
to him and him being on an upgraded pedestal made of hay (Genesis 37:7). yes as a farm boy his dreams were true to his hood. They wanted to kill him and blame it on a wild animal because they had had enough. Joey was wilddddin thinking he was better than them (Genesis 37:20). Eventually they settled for selling him off as a slave to some passerby, ripped his dreamcoat off and covered it in animal blood so they could tell their father he was mauled by an animal (Genesis 37:28). These strangers eventually sold him to be a slave in Egypt. It be your own brothers 😭😭😭

It’s ironic because not only did they not respect him, they were so blinded by envy and hate that they truly believed that his Glory lay in the coat his father had given him. Truthfully, the coat was a product of his father’s love and not the cause of it. No matter how hard they trampled on the coat and tore it. His fathers love (God’s favour) followed him as he became a slave in Egypt all the way till he became governor like he’d innocently told his brothers he would (Genesis 41:44).

When you think you’ve made a “mistake” as Joseph may have thought when he told his brothers about his dreams, know that God is so intentional. That “mistake” lead him to be sold, that “mistake” ultimately brought his dreams into fruition. That “mistake” lead his brothers to be at his mercy. During famine they were forced into Egypt looking for food rations that their brother bada$$ Joey was in charge off (Genesis 42:6). oh the irony

People may see your Glory and believe that taking your job, or your house or your man (yikessss) might strip you of your Dreamcoat, that one God gave you because He loved you unconditionally and without limit. That dreamcoat is your robe of righteousness (Isaiah 61:10) that no one can strip away from you. The spiritual power you have lies from within, so no matter the disaster OR the inability of those around you to encourage your growth and progress just remember this : God sees ALL, God knows ALL and God will redeem you. Even if its your own family..

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28)

Just keep loving God…TRUST ME. My testimonies truly span pages and pages more than you’ll be interested to read.

Thank you for mercy father. Thank you for power and sound mind!!! ABBA, you’re the realest ❤️❤️

Love Always,

Belloz
